Yes we can elect Barack Obama president, but…

No we can’t mention his middle name.

No we can’t win the war in Iraq.

No we can’t expand oil exploration, drilling or refining.

No we can’t build nuclear power plants.

No we can’t convert coal to oil.

No we can’t extract oil from shale.

No we can’t punish companies for knowingly hiring illegal aliens and conspiring with them to commit tax fraud and identity theft on an unprecedented scale.

No we can’t build a security fence on our southern border.

No we can’t allow a small percentage of social security funds to be held in individual retirement accounts.

No we can’t reduce government spending, waste and corruption.

No we can’t adopt a less complicated tax system that would help to expand the economy.

No we can’t allow medical professionals and their patients to control the healthcare system.

No we can’t create a voucher program that would allow millions of poor children to attend schools that are capable of teaching them how to read and write.

No we can’t allow parents to be involved in the reproductive decisions of their minor children.

No we can’t fund technologically advanced weapons systems for our military.

No we can’t tolerate free speech on talk radio.

No we can’t cut off government funding to “artists” who use our money to insult our religious beliefs.

No we can’t allow the general public to determine the definition of marriage.

No we can’t prevent the government from seizing private property for the purpose of selling it to large corporations which generate greater tax revenues than individuals.

No we can’t scrutinize the scientific evidence behind the man-made global warming hypothesis.

No we can’t tolerate religious leaders who denounce homosexuality.

No we can’t smoke cigarettes on private property.

No we can’t outlaw the murder of unborn children.

No we can’t allow Christian symbols to be displayed in public squares at Christmas time.

No we can’t employ terrorist profiling techniques at airports.

No we can’t fire Marxist teachers from institutions of higher learning who spew anti-American rhetoric in class and seek to erode the moral foundation of their students.

No we can’t carry handguns for personal protection.

No we can’t order foods that contain trans fats at our favorite restaurants.

No we can’t stop Iran from building nuclear weapons.

No we can’t question the patriotism of neo-communist radicals and terrorist sympathizers.

No we can’t impose the death penalty on unrepentant serial killers.

And no we can’t remove from office judges who rewrite our Constitution from the bench.

Yes we can vote into the highest public office in the land a completely unqualified liberal activist just because he happens to be half black, but no we can’t live as our forebears intended, with limited government interference in our lives, an expectation of equality under the law, and genuine pride in our country.

Oprah Winfrey’s “brand” is still strong enough to give a huge boost to any book or other product she endorses, but Oprah “has taken some notable dings lately, largely of her own making,” Ad Age magazine observes.

Oprah’s endorsement of Barack Obama for president raised her “unfavorable” ratings, allowing her to be overtaken by daytime talk show rival Ellen DeGeneres as the most popular celebrity in the U.S. in a Harris Interactive poll, Ad Age reports.

A Gallup poll conducted shortly after Oprah announced her backing of Obama found that her “favorable” rating fell by 8 percentage points, to 66 percent from 74 percent in January of last year, while her “unfavorable” rating surged by more than half, from 17 percent to 26 percent.

And ratings for “The Oprah Winfrey Show” have dropped nearly 7 percent this year, Newsmax’s Insider Report recently noted.

According to the New York Times, the Obama endorsement alienated some of the middle-aged white women who make up the bulk of Oprah’s TV audience, many of whom supported Obama’s rival Hillary Clinton.

And revelations about Obama’s longtime relationship with controversial pastor the Rev. Jeremiah Wright no doubt called some attention to the fact that Oprah at one time belonged to Wright’s congregation.

Oprah also sparked criticism when she selected new-age religion guru Eckart Tolle’s book “A New Earth” for her book club earlier this year.

One of Tolle’s assertions is that the New Testament contains distortions of Jesus’ teachings.

Since Oprah’s endorsement, the club has reportedly gained more than 1 million members, and Oprah’s Web site has logged over 30 million streams and downloads of an online seminar related to the book.

“But it also angered some conservative Christians and inspired the American Family Association to attack the once-unassailable Ms. Winfrey,” according to Ad Age.

“All of this seems to lead to one question for marketers: Is it worth the trouble?”

I don’t think being a minority makes you a victim of anything except numbers. The only things I can think of that are truly discriminatory are things like the United Negro College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black Entertainment Television, and Miss Black America. Guns do not make you a killer. I think killing makes you a killer. You can kill someone with a baseball bat or a car, but no one is trying to ban you from driving to the ball game.

I think that if you feel homosexuality is wrong, it is not a phobia, it is an opinion.

I have the right ‘NOT’ to be tolerant of others because they are different, weird, or tick me off.

When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of the population is black, that is not racial profiling; it is the Law of Probability.

I believe that if you are selling me a milkshake, a pack of cigarettes, a newspaper or a hotel room, you must do it in English! As a matter of fact, if you want to be an American citizen, you should have to speak English!

My father and grandfather didn’t die in vain so you can leave the countries you were born in to come over and disrespect ours.

I think the police should have every right to shoot you if you threaten them after they tell you to stop. If you can’t understand the word ‘freeze’ or ’stop’ in English, see the above lines.

I don’t think just because you were not born in this country, you are qualified for any special loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, trinket store, or any other business.

We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries and risk our lives in wars to defend their freedoms, so that decades later they could come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document; and open to their interpretations.

I don’t hate the rich I don’t pity the poor.

I know pro wrestling is fake, but so are movies and television. That doesn’t stop you from watching them.

I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and continue to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next operating system that’s better, and put your name on the building.

It doesn’t take a whole village to raise a child right, but it does take a parent to stand up to the kid; and smack their little behinds when necessary, and say ‘NO!’

I think tattoos and piercing are fine if you want them, but please don’t pretend they are a political statement. And, please, stay home until that new lip ring heals. I don’t want to look at your ugly infected mouth as you serve me French fries!

I am sick of ‘Political Correctness.’ I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was born in Africa ; so how can they be ‘African-Americans’? Besides, Africa is a continent. I don’t go around saying I am a European-American because my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was from Europe . I am proud to be from America and nowhere else

It has long been known and even referenced by the “mainstream” media that Iran, Hamas and all of the Muslim terrorist leaders have long endorsed Barack Hussein Obama as one of their own.

Now…what idiot doesn’t understand that the Arabs are artificially inflating oil prices and why they told George Bush to take a hike.

They want to destroy the US economy and artificially inflate world-wide grain and basic commodities prices before the election to ensure that Obama/Osama is elected and that turmoil exists throughout the world which they will exploited in the name of Islam. They will declare that only Islam can correct things and they are right…they have the oil money.

All we could do is embargo all grains in the US and precipitate a collapse of the middle-east when their citizens begin to starve to death [you can’t eat oil]…but that is something the stinking Muslim-loving liberals will never allow.

Drought in Australia, bad weather in Vietnam and Thailand, rising customer demand, soaring prices and food shortages that unleashed riots in some Third World countries have combined to help trigger a form of food rationing locally at places where many restaurants get their rice. Some rice-producing countries have restricted exports so they can feed their own people.

Please explain why people that reside on a dirt road and therefore have a local Post Office Box where they receive their mail are not included in Census recording ? .

I feel therefore that a U.S. Census is not actually ” counting ” the people.

I do not receive a Census Form because I receive my mail from a Post Office.

There must be a lot of other people also that have never been ” counted “.

I would estimate approx. 15-20 % of the population do reside in a rural setting as I do and receive their mail from a P.O. Box.

20% of 146,000 ± approx. population of Citrus County Florida = 29,200 just in one county times 67 counties is almost 2 million people just in the Great State of Florida alone.

Just wondering.

I am just in receipt of news articles, containing facts that appear to only be published in Europe; wherein a Texas court has removed over 400 children from their mothers, claiming child abuse as an apparent basis to do DNA testing.

One would assume DNA Testing is to establish parentage. However, the parties already admit that!? So child abuse provides no basis for DNA Testing in this case. Having no basis, it is pure and simply an unlawful search.

The removal of 400 children from their homes all at one time indicates a further overstepping of judicial boundaries; the persecution of all, based on a single claim that one, or some, or all, may have been abused.

But that claim fails the test of logic when it is made public that the court has removed nursing babies from their mothers. That IS child abuse!

Just because we disagree with the polygamists, is no reason to destroy that most sacred of familial bonds between mothers and babies.

It is clearly the work of those who want to destroy religion and families at their most basic level. It has nothing to do with Law, Justice and the American Way. It is pure and simple: Religious Persecution.

Who’s next? Catholics, Jews, Lutherans, Muslims?

What about the Muslim practice of circumcising little girls? Why haven’t you closed all of the Mosques in Texas that promote such practices and have doctors examine every female member under 14 years of age. Or the Muslim practice of contract marriages with under-age girls, with the affiliated “Honor killings” if they fail to follow through. Or are you afraid of the Muslims?

You might fear recrimination from the Muslims, but, obviously, this small Christian sect is incapable of defending itself, especially since “Waco” Texans would doubtless burn them to death inside their own homes.

To paraphrase a famous American: “I may not agree with what you believe or say, but I will defend to the death, your right to say or believe it.”

Thank God for the Second Amendment.
